N-DUBZ Star Held On Bum Rap

If we wanted females, they’d come running
N-DUBZ star Fazer last night rubbished claims that his bandmate sexually assaulted a fan - because they could get ANY girl they wanted.

Aaron 'Breakbeat' Fagan was nicked after a student alleged he groped her at a gig at Glasgow's Strathclyde University Union.

But rapper Richard 'Fazer' Dawson, 22, said their drummer Breakbeat would never NEED to do anything like that.

He added: "If we wanted a female, I'm pretty sure there'll be a lot of girls who would want to come.

"If they come to the hotel, and we ask them to leave, sometimes they get upset. And then you're saying to the police we touched your bum?"

Strathclyde cops arrested 25-year-old Breakbeat just 24 hours after his platinum-selling band picked up two MOBO awards in the city.

He was held overnight but freed without charge by Glasgow Sheriff Court yesterday afternoon.

Breakbeat said last night: "It's been a nightmare. When you're in the limelight people want to bring you down.

"The whole thing is over because it was all lies. It started off really nice and ended badly - I'm going back to London."

Gong show ... Dappy, Tulisa and Fazer scooped two MOBO awards

Officers swooped on the band - who topped the charts in April with Tinchy Stryder song 'Number 1' - outside the union after their gig there on Thursday night.

They were chatting up fans, but it is believed one local college student told bouncers she had been groped.

Police were alerted, and officers interviewed the girl and examined CCTV footage.

One student revealed how N-Dubz singer Dino 'Dappy' Contostavlos was left furious by the incident.

Our source said: "They were surrounded by a group of girls. Fazer and Breakbeat were chatting them up. Dappy was telling them they could go back to his hotel.

"The next thing a police van screeched up. Dappy laughed, 'Scottish cops are a bit crazy, aren't they?'."

The student added: "The officers got out and headed straight for Breakbeat. They put handcuffs on him and bundled him into the van "Dappy was going crazy shouting at the police.

"There were girls going hysterical. One said 'He thinks he can do whatever he wants because he's famous'."

A Crown Office spokesman confirmed the arrest, but said Breakbeat was "liberated pending further enquiries".

He joined N-Dubz after it was formed in London by Fazer, Dappy and his cousin Tula 'Tulisa' Contostavlos.

Their hits include Radio 1 smash Strong Again and Papa Can You Hear Me?
