Di sebuah sekolah rendah Kg Melaka seorang guru sedang mengajar mata

pelajaran matematik.

Tiap kali dia mengajar, dia tengok salah seorang anak murid dia asyik

meludah dekat tapak tangan kemudian gosok dekat kepala.

Hari-hari guru ni perhatikan tabiat anak muridnya itu, satu hari dia

tanya.



Guru: Atan! datang depan sini.

Atan: saya datang cikgu.

Guru: tiap kali saya mengajar, saya lihat awak ludah tapak tangan kemudian

sapu dekat kepala awak, mengapa awak buat

macam tu?

Atan: saya tak faham matematik cikgu !! saya buat macam ni supaya apa yang

cikgu ajar senang masuk dalam otak saya.

Guru: siapa yang ajar Atan macam tu?

Atan: emak saya, cikgu.

Guru: apa yang emak cakap?

Atan: cikgu, bila malam saya tidor dengan ayah dan emak saya, lampu semua

tutup, saya dengar emak saya cakap dengan Ayah saya......

Cisco brings the Media-Enabled Home Experience to Malaysia

Cisco unveiled a new quartet of products in a private launch that was held at the ever chic C. Club in Pavilion KL today.

The launch featured two new "dual band" networking devices, the WRT610N Dual-Band Wireless-N Router and the WUSB600N Wireless-N USB Network Adapter with Dual Band, the NMH300 Media Hub, and the WVC54GCA Wireless-G Internet Home Monitoring Camera.

These four products are part of Cisco's vision to create the Media-Enabled Home - a project that aims to get people connected to an entertainment experience like no other.

The duo of dual band Wireless-N devices were built specifically with Media-Enabled Home in mind as they broadcast and receive over two frequencies - they utilize the 2.4GHz frequency for tasks like surfing, email and printing, and use the 5GHz frequency to stream and receive time sensitive traffic like music, gaming and high-definition video.

But fast wireless network connectivity within the home is pretty useless if you don't have media to stream, and that's where the NMH300 Media Hub steps into the picture. On the surface, you could be fooled into believing that the Media Hub is merely a prettied up NAS but in truth, it is so much more than that.

Capable of scanning and backing up shared media files (movies, music, pictures) on your home network automatically, the Media Hub is powerful enough to stream up to 3 HD movies at any one time and has the upgrade capabilities of hosting up to 1TB of digital media.

It also comes with a really neat web user interface that allows you to access it remotely to stream media over the Internet. The web UI even allows you to upload and download files to and from the Media Hub, effectively turning it into your personal FTP server.

The last product on the list, the WVC54GCA Wireless-G Internet Home Monitoring Camera (or more often refered to as the "IP Camera"), is designed stream live video over the home network and also comes with a web UI that allows you to access the stream remotely.

The WRT610N Dual-Band Wireless-N Router (RM829), WUSB600N Wireless-N USB Network Adapter with Dual Band (RM309), NMH300 Media Hub (RM709), and VC54GCA Wireless-G Internet Home Monitoring Camera (RM529) are available in the market now through selected authorized Linksys by Cisco resellers nationwide.

Madonna To Stage "disaster" Show

Madonna is set to perform a controversial concert in Russia.

The 'Material Girl' singer wants to stage a show in the main square of St. Petersburg, home of the State Hermitage Museum, in August but local authorities are furious about the plans.

They have branded the proposed event a "natural disaster" and the museum's director, Dr. Mikhail Piotrovski will demand the pop superstar signs an agreement to set out decency and volume levels.

He fumed: "We want guarantees that there will be no blasphemy."

Madonna, 50, is not the first star to be warned about her raunchy stage show.

In October 2007, Beyonce Knowles cancelled her concert in Malaysia after she was told to tone down her performance and follow the Muslim country's strict dress code.

Gwen Stefani was also told to cover up during her Malaysian concert in August 2007.

The flamboyant star wore sober outfits but called it a "major sacrifice".

She put jackets over her tops and leotards underneath her skirts and dresses, to conform to the guidelines during the show.
